Guest sebset Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 The game can be downloaded here: www.aimproductions.be bye
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Er, 3meg install? Never mind...
Guest Gorskar Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Its a 3meg install for the pocket PC version. The smartphone version isn't released yet. Anyway, whats to stop you installing it to the SDcard?
Guest sebset Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Hmm... sorry but it is possible to see the following instructions from www.aimproductions.be 22-01-2003: For those of you with an unlocked SmartPhone, we have an uncertified demo of our upcoming (certified) SmartPhone shooter: Odyssey - Battle of the Universe. Download the demo! ]http://www.downloadshopping.com/smart_demo...0uncert.exe
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Gorskar: still on the 8meg card ;)
Guest Gorskar Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 unfortunate! One of the reasons I got this phone is I wanted an mp3 player, for which a large memory card is a must. I bought a 128mb card for less than £50, which seemed to give me the best storage/pound ratio.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 WOW what a game ;) Sound A++ Graphics A++ only problem is it can be a bit jerky on running, but I just might need a re-boot, and it's only a demo. very clear graphics and in my opinion could be better than Turjah
Guest madu Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 errmm.. any screenshots availible??
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 errmm.. any screenshots availible?? If you go to the link sebset left what you see onthe pop-up screen (below) with the game playing on the SPV this IS what it's like ;) http://www.aimproductions.be/ Also since doing a re-start It's not jerky anymore
Guest aGeS Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 My phone died while trying to install it... ;)
Guest Shuflie Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Couldn't install it from the desktop installer either. I needed to copy the cab file across to my SD card and run it from there. Even so it took ages to install. After you have run the desktop installer you can find the cab file in path you selected when installing.
Guest mikey808 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 The demo installed fine from my pc ... actual phone installation took a while though, several minutes. I think this demo is very impressive indeed, smooth running, good sound and loads of on screen action, best shoot up I've seen so far.
Guest casper508 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 How long does this thing take to load?? 3 minutes and counting.... I guess its time for a restart :?
Guest Lojt Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 Very nice game, and it runs very smooth. Worth the download ;)
Guest yatpeak Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 Is it going to be certified, I don't really want to decertify my phone. Just a bit concerned that it might not go as planned or that I will forget to back up something. Thanks, Wyatt
Guest Gorskar Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 I think it says on their website that it will be certified. They certainly wouldn't release only an uncertified version comercially, as it kind of limits their audience. Unlocking your phone is well worthwhile, just for the gameboy emulator! Theres also Doom you can play and Quake is in the works, thanks to some dedicated programmers, who I cannot praise highly enough! It is not a risky procedure, but your phone will be reset to factory settings, so you need to have everything backed up properly.
Guest yatpeak Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 Thanks, I might have a go at it.
Guest Firaas Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 OMG, it rules! It owns any of the gameboy games I have on there - the music sticks too...
Guest fixit Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Don't install then load it in the office - the music gets you VERY funny looks and I had to yank the battery off to shut it up. V embarassing.
