Guest markdotpeters5 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 http://www.mobile-review.com/review/samsung-i750-en.shtml looks very good! Shame it's not WM5 tho ;(
Guest bennish Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 what kind of idiot decided to make it wm2003? I've always wanted something like the 700i with internal antenna and wm5. such a nice small phone. nice small screen. What a waste. All they're doing is hurting themselves putting it out with an old os. That other phone they compare is with, the wm5 touch with a numeric keypad... that looks quite nice too.
Guest smeg36 Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 I have an i730. It is a great PPC/Phone. I wish I could combine the advantages of the i750 with what I consider advantages of the i730.

No doubt there will eventually be a newer version... i760 or something.
Guest smeg36 Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 (edited) Well, the i830 CDMA/GSM version is due out soon on Verizon. But that really isn't an upgrade, just adds GSM 900/1800 for international business users. OT-Do they show Firefly over in Australia? RIP Firefly-We hardly knew ye. Man I miss that show. Guest ricardo the fish Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 Pondrew re Firefly, I strongly reccomend you find the DVD box set somewhere. If you liked the Film, then I'm sure you'll like TV series. Oh why did they cut it, why!!!
Guest bennish Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 did air here a couple of years ago, at like midnite. didn't know about it then. started airing on pay tv here to raise interest for serenity. Started watching it then, got hooked, got dvd set. haven't seen serenity, didn't wanna spoil the series. waiting 'till feb for my special collector's edition ;) wow talk about OT
Guest Pondrew Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 hehe. ;) Have to agree with Jonathan Ross. He suggested Serenity was everything Star Wars Episodes I through III should have been! :D
Guest smeg36 Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 wow talk about OT Yeah, but we got the moderators off topic with us, so it's ok. Back OT-I keep looking at the pics of the i750 and wanting to take a saw to my i730 to hack the antenna off. Man it looks much sleeker without the antenna. I'd be willing to sacrafice a little signal for a lotta looks. I definitely prefer the thumb board on the i730 to the keypad on the i750 though. I'm also wondering if the 2.4" screen will cut it. The 2.8" screen on the i730 can feel small at times. I wonder if I could get used to 2.4"/
Guest bennish Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 i'd agree with you prondrew, but i'm also a huge palpatine fan  Yeah, but we got the moderators off topic with us, so it's ok. I wonder if I could get used to 2.4"/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yea, when i first saw the 730 i was in love but it was slid open, thus hiding the antenna. i hate ext. antennas. i used to have an old philips that u could unscrew its antenna and still use... so maybe u could hack it off ;) yea i think i would prefer the thumbpad like you said smeg. but with the screen... jam and k-jam etc are 2.8 rite? i think 2.4 would be fine. If it was wm5 would be ideal, because you don't *have* to use the touch. therefore everyday activities wouldn't be hindered by 2.4" screen. size saving would be worth it. wake up samsung! make this: i760: i750 body with alpha keypad, windows mobile 5, 2.4" screen, 802.11g (or even :D, bluetooth, 128mb rom 128mb ram, omap 850 cpu (or similar low-power). I guarantee you that the day you release that i will immediately drop my kjam/wizard for it.
