Guest nickcornaglia Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 Is this old news? Have I been so deep in creating my own skins for the past few years, by editing XML line after XML line...going back and forth, tweaking colors, until I was ready to pull out my hair when I couldn't figure out which color code went with what!? I just saw this tonight on Microsoft's site and I don't believe I ever saw it before. A Theme generator for Microsoft Smartphones. No it doesn't let you add/modify/position plugins. But it will allow you to add a background photo and tweak the color scemes. If it is true and only just recently released....they are two operating systems behind as it is listed for Smartphone 2002. I totally can't believe that Microsoft would JUST NOW release a Theme generator created for the 2002 OS (not that it wouldn't work for 2003 devices and somewhat for 2005 devices), so I'm posting this as a submission instead of directly so someone can tell me it has always been there and I've just missed it all of these years. Click here to see for yourself: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en NOTE: I know there are other applications to do this. I don't personally use those either. I was just suprised I never saw this one.
Guest mavisdavis Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 Nice find Encece, Was it next to the Titanic.lol This has been out for nearly 2yrs mate. Its certainly not as advanced as Ruttensofts HSD but mainly used for Colour schemes, But hey.. It may not be new news but I bet a few people dont know about this at present ;)
Guest nickcornaglia Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 That was weird when I saw it! I couldn't figure out if I saw it and realized it was almost worthless, and put it out of my mind....or if MS just put it up.....really late....like they forgot about it too! ;) Thanks for confirming I'm crazy/not carzy! :D
Guest peekie Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 has been out for a long time , there is also a pocket pc version as well , shame it cannot work in the new qvga screens :D microsoft have not updated it sadly , and the pocket pc version is only for the 2002 version , to use on a 2003 + you have to save the homescreen first on your hard drive then transfer it to the ppc ;)
Guest nickcornaglia Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 Yup. I knew about the PPC version.
