Guest tex15807 Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 (edited) I'm using ActiveSync 3.8, between Windows XP on my laptop and Windows Mobile 2003 2nd Edition on my Audiovox SMT 5600. When I am connected to my PC via USB, everything works great. My question is, when I am disconnected, can my phone sync with my PC via its internet connection? I see the "Wireless Schedule" in ActiveSync, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Is that only if you are syncing with a server? When I am not connected via USB, my phone is able to use the internet via IE. But when I go to ActiveSync and click "Sync" it says, "Connecting" and then "Not Connected" with the following Error: "Unable to connect. Verify your dialup or proxy settings are correct and try again." To clarify, I am not trying to connect to an Exchange server; I just want to sync with my PC using my phone's internet connection - not USB or Bluetooth. Can it be done? Thanks, Tex Edited January 18, 2006 by tex15807
Guest mini_man Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Im not sure if active sync actually has a gprs connection, but seriously that would cost loads!!
