Guest Dr Who Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 If you have the misfortune of having to use Silverlink on your commute, as I do, you have my heartfelt sympathy. However this may make the experience a bit less painful pda.jcheck.com/st gives a nice compact interface with live information about the service and you can even check a station to see which trains are running and when. Only just checking it out now, so not sure how accurate it is. No train info for one station at all this morning, but last night it managed to be just about right for my journey home. Better than no info at all. Full web address is http://www.journeycheck.com/silverlink/ so a quick check before I leave work and then a check on my phone can help me navigate the pitfalls. Didn't help the other night when one train went from 15 minutes delayed to 58 minutes delayed in the space of 20 minutes sat on the platform. At which point the next train came. The first one was still showing as on time using journey check. And surely if it is 58 miutes late that should qualify as cancelled?
Guest Kieron Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 Hey man the best one i use all the time is the transport for london one, i think they have all journeys not just london bound check it out http://www.tflwap.com from your device, its quick, easy to understand and it also has a live timetable so if your train is delayed or canceled it tells you... Pretty handy as i do take three trains into college every day!!!
Guest Dr Who Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Cool - I'll try it. The jcheck one frequently doesn't show the train time until the time it departs. Not very handy for checking whether it is worth walking to the station!
Guest Disco Stu Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Can't get the TFL site to load for some reason :?: I am a fan of the Orange World My Trains though
Guest Dr Who Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Can't get the TFL site to load for some reasonĀ :?: I am a fan of the Orange World My Trains though <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its tflwap.co.uk, not .com. Isn't very good though, unless I am missing something. The journey check one is a bit nicer to use. Have you got the url for the Orange World My Trains? I don't have the portal address in my browser any more.
Guest Disco Stu Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 http://orangeworld.mytrains.kizoom.co.uk/t...Q2R1IT88JQunvsj ...apparently !
Guest Dr Who Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Oh yes, of course. Obviously. Thanks for the link. Kizoom rings a bell though.
Guest Dr Who Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Apparently all my journeys are illegal! I have often thought the Silverlink service is criminal. I think the jcheck one is the best of the three, at least for Silverlink services.
Guest Kieron Posted February 28, 2006 Report Posted February 28, 2006 ah ha nah lol sorry its tflwap.gov.uk it is good accurate live departure board
