C500 ROM Update 4.2.5.2

I noticed something unusual, something I haven't experienced before. As I see it, the latest ROM for C500 from Orange Switzerland (C500 ROM Update 4.2.5.2) is NOT application-locked.

Here is what I did:

1. Performed a hard reset prior to the ROM update. This re-enables app-lock as with other Orange SPV phones, right?

2. Restarted the device. Device is app-locked as expected (High Security level)

3. Went on with the update. Fresh new ROM on phone.

4. Tried several unsigned applications immediately after the upgrade, one of them was the QuickReset utility...no 'not digitally signed error' message encountered, apps launched error-free! :shock:

How come the phone is not app-locked considering I first had a hard reset before the update? The phone is registry locked though as I cannot modify protected registry sections. :roll:
