Guest rand Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 I am thinking of upgrading my phone. I have a C550 Unlocked and on my old O2 contract. I really want to move to orange as i get a better signal than on O2. I was thinking about the C600 but not sure if i will see any difference between the 550 and 600. I realise the phone in WM5 but am now looking at maybe buying the O2 mini for now and seeing what orange release. CAn anyone offer any comments who might have either phone please? thanks.
Guest Tech Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 (edited) yes firstly: stick to one topic - there is no need to create a topic every minute - you currently have 3 threads created, one per minute secondly: go for an imate sp5m - great phone, better than C600. You can insert any sim card you want (its sim free) so choose o2 or orange if you like this is just my opinion ;) Edited January 20, 2006 by Tech
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 The htc Wizard is also nice but the O2 full install slows it down, but on a system rest you can choose three levels of setup which is quite good. I use the vario on t-mobile and it's a good size but can be a little slow at times.
Guest shadamehr Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Go to O2 Online - some GREAT tariffs available just now - how about 750 Any Time, Any Netowrk Minutes (yes that's right), along with 750 SMS a month, that can also be used as MMS where each MMS uses up three of your SMS allocation, as well as free voicemail, and 1MB free data per month. All for £35 per month with a new handset thrown in. The blurb says its only on the new i-mode phones, but that's not true - there are other normal phones it is available on too. This is an 18 month contract though - to benefit from a tariff that good - but hey, with that many minutes and texts and mms etc, who would feel 'penned in' to a contract like that? So my advice would be this tariff on O2 Online, as unless you are a really weird phone user, you sould then not receive any additional charges each month, even if you talk like mad, AND text like mad, AND send MMS or post to online blogs etc. Well worth a look if you ask me. I just upgraded two of my O2 Online tariffs that were costing me £30 a month, to the new £35 a month tariffs for the vast increase in voice minutes and text. And the nice girl in retentions gave me 20% discount for life on each one, so in fact I ended up paying only £28 a month - LESS than my current tariff, for a whole huge host more - as well as two free phones also... Not bad at all methinks.
Guest rand Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Thanks for the advice guys, and sorry about the posts i only meant to post once in smartphone and Pocket PC but my web browser went a little mental. :??: Am going to try the XDA mini as i have the option on my main phone to upgrade later that way i can always get a different phone when i see one i like. Hopefully i will be able to sell my C550(unlocked) and put this towards the running costs ;)
