Compatable Wired Headsets? Same Phone Pinout?

Can anyone recommend any good wired headsets for HTC phones? Do they all use the same wiring pattern? Are there any other phones that have the same three ring pinout which are wired the same way?

I have a good bluetooth stereo headset that I may or may not get working on A2DP with the next major firmware release, in the meantime I would like to take my phone to the gym and I have lost my wired headset that came with the phone.

I would like to try some different headsets, but I can't figure out which are fully featured (ie do stereo, have the pickup call button matched properly).

My XDA II Mini (HTC Magician) worked perfectly with Nokia 2.5mm headsets. I don't know if I still have one around. I will have a look and get back to you.

The one I used was from a Nokia 8310. It was stereo, and had the mic and everything.
