Guest JohnMcL7 Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 (edited) My O2 Mini S has arrived and so far I'm very pleased with it - I am a little wary of the problems I have read about though so I want to be sure I can put it back ok. According to O2 it must be in original condition but what does this mean exactly? Basically can I rip the screen cover thing off (the thing that says you must read the EULA) and break out the sim? I know this sounds a daft question but I would like some reassurance! John Edited January 23, 2006 by JohnMcL7

John <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You must be talking about the warranty .In this case the thing that voids warranty is user intervention ,opening the phone (breaking the warranty seal ) ,unauthorized software acces ,shocks ,liquid contact and so on. In your manual you should have a section where the warranty terms are presented . ;) Edited January 21, 2006 by cold_fire
Guest JohnMcL7 Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Just to be clear it's not the warranty I'm asking about, I've bought the phone on contract from O2. If not happy with the phone/contract then you can return the phone and cancel the contract. O2 are not clear about the condition it should be returned in - I don't want to rip off the screen covering, pop out the sim and so forth then find I can't return it if I decide I don't want to keep it. John
Guest richard_hogg Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Usually it just means returning it with all the stuff it came with. You can't decide if the phone is any use to you until you turn it on etc, so that's allowed.
Guest jiffk Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 probably easier to ring o2 and actually ask them then post on a board

Guest JohnMcL7 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 I've brilliantly managed to leave the charger 162 miles away, will the C500 charger work ok with the Mini S? Can't see why not, but no harm in checking first ;) John
Guest Pondrew Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 I use my MDA Compact II mini usb charger with my C500 no problems so you shouldn't have any problems. ;)
Guest JohnMcL7 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 Thanks very much for that - I would have been surprised if it didn't work but no harm in checking. John
Guest jiffk Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 i assumed that just about any mini usb cable will charge the wizard, my web cam cable does for example The only one i having tried is the charger for my gf's razr v3, it uses mini usb but the ampage rating on the charger is different to the vario so i'm warry of it
