does anyone know how to get rid of the big "gprs available" g icon on top of the screen?

Just out of curiosity why do you want to remove it?

why should i want to know if grps is available or not? lol

just kidding ;-)

this icon is ugly and big and in most themes it disturbs...

and it is'nt in the middle of the bar... i don't like it and i want to remove or hide it.... do you know how i can do this?

using a registry editor goto:

HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL

and change GPRSAutoAttach for 1 to 0

the restart the phone

cool! thanx :-)

do you know how to auto detach gprs connection after for e.g. 3 or 5 mins, too? this is usefull for me because i sync exchange via gprs and it takes to much energy when gprs is always connected ...

almost the same except set GPRSAutoDetach to 1

The key unlock off gprs connection.
