dumb lazy question re: sms/email

i plan to upgrade from a htc faraday to a wizard and was wondering if you can t9 sms/email from the touch-screen/phone-pad or must the keyboard be used?

i guess i should first know whether pda's t9 at all :oops:

Now, I don't have mine yet (it shows up next week), but I suspect that it does not have T9. In fact, check out this comparison: It's my current phone and my new QTek. Scroll down to the Input section and check out Predictive Text Entry and you'll see that the QTek does not have it.

The Wizard has a number of input methods. One of them is called Phone Pad. It replicates a phone keypad and allows you to enter text using t9 or abc modes. It also suggests words.

good news so far. will this "phone-pad" feature leave room on the display to view inputted text? can someone please post a screen shot of this function performing sms?

btw... i ask because i dash mount my device and sometime reply short sms with index finger ;)
