Guest JimDerDog Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 Hi there, from a complete luddite. I am seeking some really basic help with my Qtek 9100. So far I have just been using it as a phone and diary, and have never set up any sort of internet connection. I dont want it to get email for me, just to be able to browse, mainly for Tomtom traffic reports. What I dont know is how to go about starting this. I presume that I need a telephone number and account to dial into (presuming this is how the web browser works?) If so, who provides a good service that I can get into? I only need occasional use, as I have broadband access at home and work for major browsing. SOrry, bit of a dumb question for this forum, but any help would be much appreciated. Jimder
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 Which network are you with ? You need to call their customer services to enable data / GPRS on your phone account. They might be able to send you the necessary phone settings by text message but, if not, they should be available in our Settings Repository.

Then they can send me the settings afterwards apparently...THanks for help, one point - couldnt find the settings repository - am I being really dumb here? Jimder
