Exchange ActiveSync and power button problems...

Hello all,

I put the new T-Mobile ROM (from a couple of weeks ago) on to my Vario, and in general it seems to have improved the phone a lot (which is good news!).

However, I found that since then, when I sync with Exchange (I use Exchange Server Activesync) it occasionally misses a few messages. That is some emails that appear in my Inbox on my PC don't appear on the phone when it does an over-the-air sync (sometimes it catches up a while later, normally after the message has been read in Outlook).

The other small problem I have (and I think this has happened since I've had the phone) is that sometimes when I press the power button to bring the phone out of standby, the screen lights up for about half a second, before switching off again (meaning I have to push the power button twice to come out of standby)...

Might either of these little problems be down to the fact I skipped the installation of the T-Mobile customisations?

I don't about the TMobile customizations since I have an OEM QTek. However, your email issue may be due to the fact that the "missing" messages that play catch-up later are larger or have attachments, so it may not download them during that sync cycle. Not sure, just a thought.

I use Exchange ActiveSync too, but I haven't had the problem you're describing.

I am using Exchange Activsynch as well and have not missed any messages. I am doing a manual synch and not a scheduled one. This shouldn't make a difference but it might.
