Guest nickcornaglia Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Nice article. Google is cool with the ease they have added in finding information. I was going to write my own article on Google...but Ed beat me too it and did a great job. They also have the cool personalized portal mentioned earlier where I have all of my relavant RSS feeds listed, and my IE button on my SP5m mapped to. For quick browsing of news. Anyone know any good Google Search terms to find information quickly? For example, if you type: MOVIES: 08054 (zipcode) Brings up all of the movies playing in your area. or Weather: 08054 Will bring up my current weather and relavant links quickly. Anyone know any more????
Guest twestley Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Anyone know any good Google Search terms to find information quickly? Excellent documentation and examples at http://www.google.com/help/features.html Try these in Google Search: half a cup in teaspoons 3.5 USD in GBP define multifarious My favorite: pizza 08054 Note that you don't really need the : in your movies and weather example. BTW, many of these work with Google SMS, see http://www.google.com/sms/
Guest MitchellO Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Yeah the conversion is a really neat feature, and I use it fairly regularly for converting amounts and stuff when buying overseas. Very well implemented.
