Guest simonbratt99 Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 (edited) hi, been a right pain moving contacts from my c500 to c600 phone. Did some by bluetooth, then swapped sims over and did it. Unfortunately what ever way i did it the contact goes on the sim card. The sim contacts only seem to hold name info and one phone number. Unfortunately i had all sorts of contact data, emails, notes etc. Now there all LOST!! totally unnecessary if Orange didnt take away there backup service. What plonkers! Anyway so i now have all my contacts and one phone number on the sim, it seems not possible to add any more info per contact while the contact is on the sim. i cant seem to move the contract from sim to phone. Also sim contacts only have like 12 letters or something, completly unusable. I cant see what to do, but start again, which really really annoys me. Anyone any ideas? Thanks Edited January 24, 2006 by simonbratt99
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 The easiest way 'would' have been to sync the C500 up to a pc with outlook which would copy the contacts to the PC, then sync the C600 up to the PC and it would put the contacts onto the new phone. The C500 seemed to have a contact/sim manager to let you move contacts between the sim and the phone, but this doesn't seem available in the C600. If you are starting from scratch, what i'd do is sync the phone up to a PC with outlook, then instead of adding them to the phone, i'd create them in outlook and let that add them to the phone for you. Much quicker and easier than typing on the phone keypad.
