Cingular 2125, emails disappear

I recently bought a 2125. Created a pop3 connection to my gmail account. After the new message was read, it disappears from the inbox, and I cannot find any settings that would prevent outlook from removing it. Is this a default behavior?

does this happen after going to the gmail website anbd deleteing the items there, or is it right after you read it on your device??

After I've read it, I go back to inbox, refresh, and the message is gone. It stays on the Gmail site though.

you might set your email via microsoft outlook at your pc. it will automatically deleted on your 2125 next you connect via send and receive.
