Guest patnpm Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I'm trying to install the (paid up) version of Listpro via Activesync - it seems to work fine but then I get a brief message on the phone screen that it is installing the All-Locations CAB. I deleted all the All locations files from my phone and still I get the message - even when I try to install other things. Any ideas? Nick Mapstone

Guest Will Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 check your PC in the 'program files/microsoft activesync folder. Have a hunt about, you'll find the cab file lurking in one of the directories. Hope it helps, might be worth posting the exact location and name of the cab file, to help others. Will
Guest Scoobyroo Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Nah, I had this probelm too. to resolve it I deleted all files in IPSMWindowsAppMgr (I think, though it was a while ago ;)) Tell you wjhat, before you do anything, do a search, it's been covered many times before!.... Ahhh, the joys of a search button!
Guest patnpm Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 I've looked in the App manager directory via Activesync (of course I don't have All-locations to look directly on the SPV - that's what I'm trying to get rid of - whats the rationale for a computer without a file manager???) and can't see anything in the folder - although I have 'view hidden files' enabled. BTW I tried a search - All-location / install and All-locations CAB - and found nothing relevant.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 You can only see if using the phone file manager, not the PC for some reason! P
Guest madu Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Hmmm.. Looks like 'Dead loop problem' to me.... No AllExlorer and no way to install without deleting some files using the same AllExp... very interesting.. Like division by 0!! Oh well, there's always hard reset!!
