Guest rannoch Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 (edited) I have a c500 I'm just experimenting linking to the internet - currently via passthrough (I think) using usb cable. Just to get the look and feel of the pages. Using Google and BBC. I've set data connections all to automatic. I can get onto the websites and had a look around. Just Google, and BBC. The I try to get out, but don't have a way to exit. I've pressed the red "end call" button (the one used to lock te keyboard), and it takes me back to phone's main screen. How do you know when you've disconnected from the internet. Regards, Rannoch Edited January 24, 2006 by rannoch
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 The Back (:D Otherwise use the left soft button (Favourites) to get your list back up. There's not much to browsing on the phone other than that. The red button will cancel the GPRS connection. You can see when the connection goes off as the little G above the signal bars disappears. Have I answered this correctly ? :?: ;)
Guest rannoch Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 What I'm concerened about is that if I have returned to the main screen (to do other tasks) the internet connection is broken - i.e. it's not running in the background. So in GPRS mode it cnnects to the internet - gets the page - and disconnects. Dialup wap (I don't use) would connect and stay connected (eating up minutes). Thanks, Rannoch
