Guest wardy Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 After Installing Microsoft voice on Internal Memory , I can't now change from keyboard to phonepad. Any ideas, I have disabled my today pluggins but it still won't budge
Guest wardy Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Just uninstalled Microsoft Voice and all is back to normal again..
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 IntelliPad is very memory hungry, try and keep as much internal memory free as possible by installing as much as possible to Storage Card (granted, not possible with MS Voice Command). P
Guest Pondrew Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Had this problem myself on the HTC Charmer (MDA Compact II). Not surprised to see it on the Prophet given the processor and memory are the same... ...as Paul says, memory is the key, if it ever happens a reboot will solve it (only ever happened a couple of time at this end).

As I had 30 meg of storage and 20 odd in program I figured something was causing a problem. I uninstalled SPB Pocket Plus and it now works ... Shame cos I like Pocket Plus  I have read on XDA Dev site of probs with this software doing this before on other models . Guess it will get resolved , have sent SPB an Email. Thanks Guys .
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 I have Pocket Plus and don't have the problem... try turning off the Pocket Plus today screen plugin. I use the one that comes free with Resco Explorer, very similar functionality, and even looks a bit nicer (screenshot posted below!) Resco Explorer with registry and FTP functionality rocks in itself too! ;) P

Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Same as on the T-Mobile MDA Compact II, (HTC Charmer), very neat... P
Guest wardy Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 Yea , that's where it was taken from . They also have a today screen plugin that is pretty good but I'm still trying to work out how to remove most of the Tmobile stuff and keep the functionality.
Guest m5systems Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 paul, i notice there you had an extra icon in that bar at the bottom of the screen, next to comms manager and battery - has anyone got an idea of how to add more icons to this area? thanks, dan
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I replied to your other thread (you can't control it AFAIK), but the extra icon Paul has is PPC Profiles Pro, which lets you define "profiles" for different ringtones, volume etc etc. It's freeware, and very useful. See here: http://www.modaco.com/PPCProfiles_Pro-f151.html
Guest J273 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I didnt think installing stuff on the internal rom was a probl;em with wm5 as its stored like a Hard drive.....and i thought wm5 didnt have memory that you could install apps too the meory was just for running the apps? :?: :?: :?: Or am i missing somthing :?:
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 I thought/think the same I install all my apps to the phone so I can swap mem cards without losing half my apps.
Guest J273 Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 (edited) Ive found though after installing voice command this does still install to the ram and not rom taking up the programs memory. Which is a bit of a shame as i was gonna use voice command but after finding this this ive uninstalled. Im sure there waa a trick where u could get vc to installed to the internal storage which is what i did on my jam. Edited February 24, 2006 by J273
