Hi all,

I did the search before posting so please don't burn me for posting.

I've been using GPRS on my C500 under a corporate Vodaphone contract for some time now no probs.

The C500 is running the latest firmware etc and the phone is running sweet. However... I started recieving MMS messages from friends who have Nokias Sony Erikssons etc and the phone would notify me I have a new message but if I go into Messages > Media Messages > Click on the message it just says " The Message could not be downloaded. To try again Select Menu, and then select Send Recieve.

I've tried that but the same problem.

I looked up what MMS settings I should be using for Vodaphone and entered the below.

Description

Vodaphone MMS

MMSC address

http://mms.vodaphone.co.uk/servlets/mms

Data connection

MMS Network

Gateway

Wap 1.0 Gateway

Ip address

212.183.137.012

Port

9201

Still nothing when I try to send/recieve. I've made sure Vodaphone MMS is selected as the connection used under Account settings under the Media Messages Account Setup.

Anyone have any ideas?

The error message it comes back with when it tries to connect through GPRS to download the MMS message is "Unable to connect. Verify you have Network coverage and try again"

Still baffled as to why this isn't working and it's really starting to bug me now as I think I missed someones birthday because of this....

In all seriousness, are you sure you have the MMSC address right? Because its Vodafone, not vodaphone.

Yes sorry. I have the habit of spelling words as they should be spelt. In the phone it is http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms....

Still not working. I've tried every setting for WAP and MMS I've found for contract Vodaphone on the net and nothing.

One point that might solve this is someone mentioned to me I have to get my contract MMS enabled? It's already GPRS enabled as I surf the web no probs. Is the MMS enabling a different one and needs to be enabled seperately from GPRS?

Yes MMS enablement is different to GPRS. SPeak to your SP to get that added to your account.
