Guest prel2000 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 Anybody know of any software that may enable profile functionality similar to that of Nokia's. Had a nokia before my k-jam and got used to this....particularly handy at work when in out of meeting...thanks
Guest EastMushu Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 You can use PocketZenPhone as it has WM5 support or you could also try phonealarm. Phonealarm has more feature but WM5 version still undergoing beta testing at the moment. Hope this helps.
Guest richard_hogg Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 Or just hold in the comms manager button which switches it to vibrate mode.. Just hold it in again to go back to normal mode..
Guest Total Eclipse Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 My only complaint with the Wizard when compared to my previous Nokia phones, or my K700, is that it doesn't switch to a headset profile when you plug the hands free kit in - very useful as I use a hands free kit in the car, and liked the phone to ramp up the volume.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 PPCProfiles Pro gives you profiles, and it's free too! http://www.modaco.com/PPCProfiles_Pro-f151.html P

If not, it's just as quick for me to manually slide up the phone volume when I plug in the head set.
Guest MitchellO Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 http://www.pocketmax.net/phoneAlarm.htm PhoneAlarm does what you want. It was a fantastic program. Its not updated for WM5 yet but they expect a release in January. I highly recommend it.
Guest Total Eclipse Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 PPCProfiles Pro gives you profiles, and it's free too! http://www.modaco.com/PPCProfiles_Pro-f151.html P <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've installed it and tried it - seems (almost) like what I'm after - the option to select a profile for a short amount of time means I can select the car profile for an hour, drive home, and not have to worry about the phone deafening me when I forget to change back. ;) Only problem seems to be that holding down the profile I want until the timer box appears seems a bit hit and miss - only works about 1 in 3 times, the rest of the time it jumps straight to the profile. Still, an extremely useful piece of software!
