I have no clue - I tried it for a few seconds, and didn't see any activity in the fields. Guess it maybe for something coming in the future.

After setting it to 1, does typing in *#*#364#*#* do anything?

I do not have a reg editor on my vario at the moment so I can not try this myself. ;)

No that's what I tried , it just reverts back to '0'

I wonder if you hook it up to the pc without ActiveSync gives any results. My guess is that is probably used by service centres on a PC / Jig to fault find , or quickly flash upgrade etc

This was found a few months back. You need to Exit (on the actual menu) from PHM Regedit to save reg changes. Then soft reset and dial the number.

From what we've seen nothing is reported in the dialogue that pops up, so it may be that specific test conditions are necessary or some additional equipment for it to display any readings.

Dialing the numbers does nothing visible when dial it with the Engineeringmode set to 1...
