I have a AT&T branded Audiovox SMT-5600 that is UNLOCKED. I had some low memory issues, and my phone wasnt letting me send text messages so I turned it off... However, when I tried to turn it back on it gets to the carrier splash screen then locks up and immediately restarts itself.

I have tried every combonation of removing the memory card and sim card from the phone, but none of them work. The phone will still not boot.

I have tried doing a "soft reset" by holding down the two softkeys and instead of hitting 0 for a full format, I just hit another button instead. (This has worked for me in the past)

So, what I'm thinking is that instead of a full factory reset, which will make me loose EVERYTHING all my sms, contacts etc... Maybe there is a way to boot the phone into a "safe mode" and try that way?

If not, does anybody have any idea how to get my phone to boot WITHOUT having to do a full reset? Because I really dont want to go through loosing all of my data again... This is done the second or third time this has happened to me!!!

Any and All information is greatly greatly apreciated... TIA!
