Guest roma0803 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 If your current phone is also a Smartphone, use Outlook to sync your contacts from your old device to your new one.
Guest mikey1234 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 (edited) i thought that active sync was just for outlook contacts i.e my email addresses rather than my contacts on my phone Edited January 26, 2006 by mikey1234
Guest roma0803 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 i thought that active sync was just for outlook contacts i.e my email addresses rather than my contacts on my phone <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, both. All your contacts from your phone will appear in Outlook as contacts. With or without phone numbers and/or email addresses, all info goes into Outlook where you can edit them conveniently and sync them back to your new phone.
Guest mikey1234 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 when i go to options in activesync i cant check contacts check box cause it says not installed how do i install it
Guest mini_man Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 have you got outlook installed or have you got outlook express?? ive never been able to use sync withought outlook installed. if you need outlook i think you can get one of the microsoft office xp trials for 60 days.
