When loading films and some games they do not fill the screen or even sit centrally on my SPVC600.

This could be due to you using programs that are meant for wm2003 se and they aren't compatible for wm5. I've read about this but I've not really gotten in to it so I can't recommend or tell you how to rectify the problem...There are others here though, that are up to date.

It's because The SPV C600 is QVGA device, not all software supports this new screen resolution/format. Those that don't behave as you have described. Nothing wrong with the phone.
