Guest haakoon Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Hi, I would be really greatful if someone could help me unlock my c500. I have the service-pack and the needet files, but don`t have a simcard from orange. is there anyway I can unlock the phone anyway? thanks for all help :)
Guest usdiver Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 I may be mistaken, but you have to have the orange sim card just for the phone to boot up at least. Otherwise, no program you try will recognize the phone, though you may have it connected to your pc. My best advice, if you don't want to buy a £5.00 sim card is to find someone who will let you borrow theirs for a few minutes. A friend just told me their was a free sim card link on the orange website, (but don't know if it still exists). Once you have an orange sim card, go to www.imei-check.co.uk and download their unlocking program. The key file will cost you £20.00 but it is well worth it. Of course there are free unlocking versions out there, but I'm not sure how good they are. Hope this helps.
Guest Newchurch Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Hi, you don' t need an Orange sim, just follow the steps below (from spv-developers.com): 1, Insert your SIM, connect your phone to ActiveSync then browse 2, Copy Cert.cab in "\Storage\windows\StartUp" and then restart your phone 3, After reboot you will see a "Unlock Code" screen, but at the background another screen is waiting for u to press "OK" to install the cab file, press "Back key" and then press "OK" quickly, because "Unlock Code" screen reappears very quickly. When cab installed it will show you the "installation successfull" message. If your phone is application lock than, download and run "SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe". Greetings, Newchurch

Guest haakoon Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 I now know wich file to put in startup (clever me :) ). it seems like everything goes well untill it turns back to "press sim-code". when I try to aplication unlock it I get a "phone not unlockable" message. any ideas anyone? ps: have ordered a sim-card from orange but still would be nice to be able to use it before since I live in Norway and still would have to wait a couple of days before recieving the sim-card. thanks for all help haakon
