Does anyone know as to what is the largest SD Mini card that the Orange SPV C550 will support, as I would like to use a 1Gb one (currently it's 128Mb).

I've tried the experts (Orange support  ) and they replied stating that the the SPV C550 did not support Mini SD cards  !

So I assume the card I presently have, that is labelled 'Mini SD card sans disk 128Mb', must have some sort of manufacturers' printing error on and it is in fact a compact flash card in disguise :) ??

Thanks JMA1801

ha ha tht made me grin, its true orange dont have a clue!!

of course dnt worry about the card size, the c550 definetly supports 1gb cards as many ppl on the forum do have them.

i think it supports 2gb as well and soon ppl will look at 4gb.

just incase you were querying over the size dont get anything lower than a 1gb as you will regret it.

i got a 512mb with my phone and am starting to realise that a 1gb may definetly be my next buy, as although i have got half the card left i would like to store at least 2 films on there with good quality with my music as well

and stilll have the free storage i want for all my captures.

My 2GB SanDisk works beautifully.

Be careful when you buy though. Always check the compatibility list as some makes might not work.

soz yeh was playing with the software at the time, im not sure

my dad just threw the blooming warrenty away for my 5gb mp3 player which is broken so i have no mp3 player now apart from my phone.

im toying with the idea of a getting a 1gb or a 2gb. 4gb is round the corner but i dont know if i need one of those and they sound really expensive

i might sell my 512mb so i can get some money to save up for a 2gb

wot do you thing?? 1gb or 2gb

If you're replacing your MP3 player, I'd go for 2gig.

You have to remember that you'll take up some of the space with programs, photos, couple of Simpsons episodes etc. That then gives me room for the last 15 CDs I bought plus 3 CD-length mixes I did with iTunes. And there's still 350MB spare to give the card room to breath !

1GB was just a little bit too small for comfort and I reckon 4GB will just be silly, unless we start backing up our whole PCs onto them :D :)
