Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 Bladdfont program works fine on the C550. You just have to ensure that it runs with the phone on startup so a shortcut or the EXE itself should be inside your phones 'Startup' folder. Also, the font you wish to use should be placed inside \Storage\windows\Fonts then change the phone's SYSFNT, Menu and OOMFNT data to the typeface name of the font. You have to change from 'Nina' to the typeface name of the new font. Check the following registry sections: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\SYSFNT\Nm HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\Menu\BarFnt\Nm HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\Menu\PopFnt\Nm HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\OOMFnt\Nm Note however that HKLM\System is a protected registry section so you need to have your phone fully unlocked first before you can proceed with the editing. Use the SDA Unlocker. I personally use the 'Font Link' technique. I find it easier to change the font that way. No 3rd party utility used, just plain registry tweaking :) http://www.modaco.com/Change_font-t208231.html

Guest avdl1999 Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 but how do i go about changin the size?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi. I can see what you mean, alot bigger text now, especially on the Settings list. I know that you can change your font style and size within Orange/Caller Photo ID but it doesn't have any effect on the overall phone font settings only the contacts when displayed during a call. I cannot find any other settings elsewhere unless it needs a registry tweak? Can anyone offer advice with how to adjust this? Thanks Andy
