Guest Woody_SP5 Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 Hi Guys, I have been trying for days to get the MMS working on my new I-Mate SP5. Here's what I have done so far: 1.) Finally got the GPRS working :) 2.) MMS will send outwards but I cannot recieve MMS messages I just get a notification that an incoming MMS is there and is downloading but does not, I get the below message after a few seconds around 90 to be precise: Cannot download message this will be left in the inbox or to that effect These are the settings I am using for O2 Ireland Billpay: Settings, Connections, GPRS First would be O2 ISP Connects to = Internet Access Point = internet username = gprs password = gprs Then O2 MMS Connects to = WAP Network Access Point = wap.dol.ie username = gprs password = gprs Messaging Menu, Options, Account Options, MMS Retrieve Immediately Ticked Menu, MMSC Settings MMSC URL = http://mmsc.mms.o2.ie:8002 WAP Gateway = 62.40.32.40 Port = 8080 Connect Via = WAP Network WAP Version = WAP 2.0 So have I got something wrong here or is this an issue with other providers as I know is works perfectly on Vodafone Ireland. I have contacted O2 and they have said MMS is enabled for my account. I have went to the I-Mate site and they don't have settings for any Irish network, so currently I am baffled to be honest as it is a great phone, is there any patch or ROM upgrade that I may need.

I'm with voda irl and my problem was in the mmsc settings. Port had to be 9201 (not sure if thats network specific) and wap should be 1.2 try those, if it don't work I'll post my full settings and we'll see ig that helps. Maybe try one of the above 1st then the other then both. hth gerryR
