theme not working properly

i have just downloaded a theme for my c500 but it doesnt work properly. there is no text. is there a file i need to get to display it properly? can anyone help?

assuming it might be an xml file

make sure you have eptied out everything into the application data,home folder. make sure there are no folders in there.

it looks like a pretty plugin based homescreen, make sure you have downloaded and installed all appropriate plugins

The plugins should have been listed in the description of the theme.

transform i need some help from u, its a cab file which will install in your phone,

open storage,application data,home and there should be a file called somthing along the lines of wm2003.future.xml or somthing that has a file name like that and ends in .xml.

can you post that file up so i can take a look.

to be honest i cant tell you wot it is cos this person has done it in ruttonsoft. all i can tell you is that if you install ruttensofts homescreen designer www.ruttensoft.com

create a random homescreen and include these plugins,

Iconbar think its called iconobar,

date and time plugin,

sms/email plug in,

profile plugin

and calendar plugin.

make sure you click export plugins at the side, then place all the .cab files on your phone, and then reselect the homescreen.

i made a random homescreen with the plugins you said and it displayed them on the one i made but they still dont work on the downloaded one. any more ideas?

I cant suggest anything else, i cant understand why it wont work??

did you tell it to save to the storage and not the card??

try making that homescreen in ruttensoft

Try this. Download, transfer to Home folder, load homescreen layout. :)

Why the first XML does not show the texts?

- The Smartphone homescreen can only 'read' whole numbers. If you happen to encounter a similar problem, open the XML then look for:

font-size="13,8"

...then change it to:

font-size="13"

ahh i have had problems with whole numbers and text before! i should have thought of that. i will try it to see if it work and let you know. thanks for the help :)

i did get it working but i seem to have lost a few icons. for example, when you phone is locked and u press a key it says "press the # key to unlock the phone". this used to have an exclmation mark or something behind it. now its just a white background. i think the images are in the home folder but they arent working?

ok i got the icons working but i have lost my startup/shutdown screens. they have been replaced with some custom ones from the theme. i tried to delete them but now i have no startup/shutdown screens at all. also my background image from when i recieved a call has gone because their replacement picture was on there.

so basically, i have lost the icons where they have changed them.

i want the originals back.. how do i get them?
