Auto Sync Connects but cant see connection

When I plug in my Cingular 2125 to my USB my computer makes the boink noise to say that a USB device has been plugged in, but then it does not sync up and the folders can not be viewed. Is this something simple or should I do a hard reset. It was working before when I first got the phone a week ago but lately it wont sync. I have tried on multiple computers and I believe that it is the phone not the computers.
