Guest sean2212 Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 I've just bought an XDA Mini, and am amazed at how slow the thing is. I've tried hard resetting it, but what the manual says and what happens are two different things. In other words, I press the Comm Manager and Voice Command buttons, and then the Reset button. According to the o2 manual (p.81), the screen is then supposed to display the message 'Press Send to restore', only my screen doesn't. Can anyone help?
Guest crx16 Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 You are keeping the buttons held down arent you? With it turned off, hold the 2 buttons down then switch it on whilst keeping the buttons pressed
Guest Drewtech Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 On the Vario there is a clear memory option which seems to do the same thing as a hard reset.
Guest sean2212 Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 Thanks. I managed to get the 'Press Send to restore' message after a dozen or so attempts. I opted for the Corporate profile (as opposed to the Personal, which I think is the default), and now the phone works very well, much quicker and doesn't crash. I think I could get to like the XDA after all... 8)
Guest Phil Lee Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 On my Vario what I do is press and release the soft reset button then press and hold the Comm Manager and Voice Command buttons. That gets the option to hard reset on screen without fail.
