Hey mini_man here,

i thought id get round to looking at this today cos its quite a handy funcion,

i noticed alot of you seem to be using the built in email service in the phone to download and send emails.

i want to be able to synchronise my phone with my hotmail account as this would be really useful.

how do i do this, wot settings to i need?

Hi Sam

I set up my Yahoo! account (pop3) successfully using the email program within the phone.

What i'd like to do is be able to use outlook on my mobile with pop3 settings but i can't find anyway of changing the settings for it. Strange that given Outlook on my pc will adopt it?

I'm convinced, because of this i'm not getting any sound notifications when i receive new e-mails. I've put .wav files into Storage/Application Data/Sounds but still no joy. I get sounds for everything else. Can you offer any advice please?

Regarding your Hotmail account i gather that you can use a pop3 set up like i did with Yahoo! but only if you have the premium service. MS did offer the service for the free accounts once but no more!
