I attempted to change the softkey for the contact based on the following thread.

http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...hl=softkey&st=0

Well it didn't work so I tried to put it back now my start key doesnt work the contact key doesnt work. My phone wont sync up but i have a mobil registry editor that can still get into my phone so I can change them back if somebody can at all help me. I am also attempting to download the rom update file from HTC and I am going to run that. Does anybody know if that will work or have any help they can offer. I will be around all night until I can fix this. Thanks.

Update:

Phone is clearing up a little bit. Start button worked then I tested the contacts button and it went to the start menu but now it wont go back to the homescreen when home key is pressed.

Hi,

On non-WM5 device, the default value for :MSCONTACTS is:

appman.exe -s Apps :MSCONTACTS tpcutil.dll AMContacts

Have you tried that code?

It is a WM5 device though and is that supposed to be placed under which key under :MSCONTACTS

We'll have to wait for a WM5 user to give us the default values then. :)

Well now the phone is working normally, but the softkey contacts does nothing now. Better than messing up like it was. Now if I could only remap it to start a new txt message like I was originally trying to do. Thanks for the help gp.
