Guest Croccy22 Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 Ok, Just got a brand new c600. take the storage card out of my c550 and place it in c600. TomTom won't load properly. Deleted all the cfg files. Tomtom loads. you can choose language. select units etc. then lists the maps. Select a map and it bombs out and goes back to start menu. Tried hard reset, tried every setting on phone. Put card back in c550 and it works no problem. It has got the latest 5.2 update. Just can't think of anything else to try. Went back down to orange shop and tried in another c600 and got the same problem. also get the same problem when i try and beam a file via bluetooth to another phone. don't know if the two problems are related or not though. Can a few people post their rom version and operator version just to compare incase orange have done another fabulous firmware update on new models? mine is ROM 1.0.7.0 and OP 11.1.1.9 (Start ->Settings -> More -> System Info) Cheers, Matt.
Guest Rhinestone Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 What did you do to fix it? May prove usefull
Guest Croccy22 Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 The problem with Tomtom was the one where there has to be a folder on the phone in "my documents" named "TomTom" and a file be put inside it. Since i had a new phone there wasn't any files on this phone. The problem with sending files via bluetooth still has problems but strangely it works occasionally. Am going to try installing Binarys Smart Explorer and using the bluetooth send on that to see if it gets around the problem. Matt.
