bluetooth on spv c500 to laptop

Hi new here, so dont know if im in the correct forum but my problem is something similar, i have just bought SPV C500, and have been trying to set up the bluetooth or rather use bluetooth and wondered if in the settings menu above bluetooth there is the option "Beam". Do i need to activate beam for bluetooth to send or recieve?

Also wondered if anyone could tell me how to get bluetooth on my laptop, i know it is supposed to be bluetooth ready but do i need to buy a dongle, there is nothing on the comp that gives any info about this, i have just came across this site and have found the info on here brilliant for folk like me (technocrap ie fonefobic) so just want to say thanx for all your input

@con100 ,just getting into Bluetooth my self , Like you I was a little unsure at first . In order to send and recieve to & from your phone you will need a Bluetooth dongle . I bought my first from a retail outlet but couldn't figure out how to send info , then bought my second from a chap on E-bay [came with 22,000plus gooodies for the phone on a disk]. Once youv'e loaded the drivers and inserted the dongle you will be able to send and recieve to & from your phone. From your phone you will be able to activate Bluetooth to find devices and should pick up your PC.I actually used two Pc's with my dongles in and discovered quite by accident I could send info to & from either Pc and also to the phone.

So , first you will need to buy a dongle , then use it in either your PC or laptop .Hope this helps.
