T9 Input Problems

heyas all,

ever since i bought my phone (dopod 565) i've had to hold down the # button to get a space. if i press it quickly i get the symbol selection screen.

i think it should be the other way around, because it always takes me a long time to write text messages.

i want to keep the chinese rom and i can't find the original rom to reinstall. does anyone know of a way i can fix this problem?!?

:) i fixed the problem!!!

after spending too much time trying to change ROM versions and resetting of my phone i finally stumbled across this post in chinese: http://jdpforum.ns2go.com/showthread.php?p=54&mode=threaded

if anyone is interested in the fix i'll post it.
