T-mobile MMS - enabled by default?

I'm not really sure if this is the right forum, but I couldn't think of a better one.

I move from Orange to T-Mobile this month to get a vario and everything is grand.

Except I'm trying to send someone an MMS and she's not receiving them. She sent me one first and I didn't get it, but then I checked the T site and it said I had to send one to activate it on my account. So I've tried sending 2 but none have arrived. She says she can receive them from others, so I think that rules her out.

I've checked the MMS settings on the phone and everytying seems to be correct, so I'm guessing it's maybe something to do with my account rather than the Vario itself.

I have to admit that despite owning MMS capable phones since I think 2002/2003 maybe, I've never actually sent one before.

Anyone shed any light on the subject?

when i worked for them 2 years ago, you had to send yourself one to activate the MMS on the phone. thats what i was told in borehamwood anyway

Managed to get it fixed eventually. I think I had to send one to enable it, but when I was sending to her she had no credit left, so maybe her GPRS wouldn't activate to receive it.

Either way it's working now.
