Guest robw Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 Is it possible to move the favorites to another phone. I have recently got a MDA and I have a large list of favorites on my SPV c500 and because I have change the names of them I cannot get to the address, is it possible to just copy and past the file? If so where is it?
Guest fraser Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Yes, the files live in /My Documents/Favorites if I recall correctly. The best way to move to a new phone IMHO is to just use ActiveSync. This will do your contacts, mail, tasks, calendar and favorites, and back them up on the PC for safekeeping.

Guest fraser Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 psss, fraser - he's talking about TomTom, not website favs. ;D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmm, shouldn't it be me with the Homer Simpson avator then? :) WRT TomTom, I took a look for you. I added a new favorite to test this. Nothing obvious had changed in \Program Files\Navigator or the map directory. Also checked the registry and the "\Application" Data dir. These are the usual places to keep stuff, but I can't see where they are storing this data. Very strange. Might need to send an email off to them to ask.
