C500 Keeps freezing

I have had my C500 for a few months now and it keeps freezing mainly when my alarm goes off in the morning which makes it worse. The alarm will just keep going untill i turn the phone off. When i turn it back on the alarm is still going and i have to stop the alarm then?

Is a hard reset needed?

If so how do i do it on this phone?
