Guest avdl1999 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Hi I've got my my Yahoo! e-mail account successfully working on Outlook on my pc. I setup a seperate Yahoo! account on my phone (c550) with success also. What i wish to do, if possible, is put my Yahoo! pop3 settings into the Outlook program on my phone. I've checked and double checked but there is no adjustment for settings at all. I've looked at trying to export the settings from Outlook (pc) to my phone using active sync but no luck there either! When i receive mail through my stand alone Yahoo! setup i don't get any audible alert which i'm sure i would if the Outlook program worked! I apologise if this a tad long winded but it's very frustrating how little configuration there is available regarding this. I've left other messages regarding this but have had little or no feedback, hence my new topic. Can anyone offer me help or advice on this matter please? Thanks in advance. Cheers Andy
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 The Outlook account is not configurable - it is only used for emails Sync'd with your PCs Outlook Inbox. If you want to setup another email account on your phone you will have to do it from scratch by hand (there is no way to transfer settings from the PC to the Phone to avoid having to key it all in again)

I'll leave the Yahoo! setup as is. Have you any idea how to make the sounds work? I've got .wav files in Storage/Application Data/Sounds but so far no luck. Ringtones, sms, alarms etc all function except email. Cheers
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 No sorry, never had a C550 and I can't recall the supported formats and file locations for Smartphones. You might find that you cant use WAVs as message tones for example. Have you tried a search, that MUST have been asked before
