Guest Fjatle Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Hi all. I recently upgraded my rom to WM5 test build. Ok, I shouldn't have done it, but its done. And now I regret it a bit. The thing I didn't check was which language was pre-installed on the ROM. I found out to late it was only English and German. I'm from Norway, and that don't fit me at all :s I don't care if the menu is in english, but I would like to have the T9 in Norwegian. It's a big problem actually. I have been trying to use a dll file called T9NorwegianLdb.dll, but without luck. If someone have "THE" tip for me how to get it to work, I would be very happy If else ; I want my wm2003 back :) But stupid me, didnt make a backup of my old ROM before I upgraded. And I don't know a safe procedure to downgrade it --------------------------------- So there is my problem.. Anyone to solve??
Guest XiSt3nCe Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 I wouldn't think that any rom you could find would support norwegian. You may have to pay for your mistake of not fully researching the language support for the rom that you upgraded to. If you'd post more information on the .dll file instructions i'm sure someone here if not myself could help you out.
Guest Fjatle Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 I posted how I did in i another topic, but here it is: so i copied the T9NorwegianLdb.dll on to my phone. I have tried to put it on the storage card in a folder called t9, in application data in a folder called t9 an I have tried putting i directly in \windows (yes, of course I have changed the values in the registry along when changing the destination of the dll file) In the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI\Availible I added the value 0414 And called the Value Data: Norwegian Then in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\T9 Input Method\LDBs I added the value 0414 and called the value data: \Storage Card\t9\T9NorwegainLdb.dll And finally in the HLM\T9 Input method\MUI\Languages I edited the value: "Availible" from 0409,0407 to 0409,0407,0414 Then i copyed the file: "T9Ime.dll.0414.mui" onto the \windows folder I have this feeling that the WM5 ROM is very tabu here on modaco, and even on other pages. Strange few answers on these kind of topics, and I know for sure there are many "brainiacs" that can tell me a solution.. But now as I have been using the new ROM, I actually want WM2003 back. the alarm clock wont work. 3'rd part software don't work. MMS ain't an option. +++ So how can i downgrade?
