BT Active Sync (WM5 / AS 4.x)

I love getting new technology... why? Cos it takes me ages and lots of stress to get things to work 8)

I was wondering if anyone has gotten round to configuring BT AS with WM5?

I have been reading articles but all this, "Sync it with cable, then insert dongle into that USB port" is a bit of a joke really... That sounds so fudged and unprofessional I dont believe that this is the only way to being able to achieve sending files between the phone and the PC...

Does anyone, have some proper advice on how they went about setting this up, without sending me to these idiot guides? I would like to discuss it. I want to properly understand as apposed to fudge it just so it works :)
