M500 as Webcam

There has been a lot of talk of different applications to turn a smart phone or pocket pc into a webcam for your computer. I have a spv m500 and can’t find one which actually works. I followed a guide for activesync remote display but this doesn’t even pick up the camera. Is it just mine or does it just not work?

I tried the Activesync Remote Display too in a moment of hopefulness. It didn't work and just came up blank. I gave up.

That looks fairly promising but I was looking more alon the lines of streaming or real time for use as a security cam or video talk ect
