Guest Weetobix Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 I've just got my MDA Vario from T-mobile and while everything on it is working great, I can't seem to get Birthdays or Anniversaries in my contacts to appear fully on the calendar. They appear on full day view, but not on the month or week views where they would be useful. Normal appointments appear fine. Anyone else had this problem and know how to get around it? Thanks in advance Weet

Thanks in advance Weet <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Weetobix, Not sure it is possible with the standard calendar :D However their is a birthday application available at http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pocketpc/bplanner.html This is Freeware app and runs a separate database for birthdays and places reminders on your today screen :)
Guest fraser Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 I think the problem is that the aniversaries have your time marked as "Free" and the monthly calendar only shows appointments that are "Busy" and perhaps "Tentative" also. Another tool to list them might be the useful home screen plugin "Pocket Breeze", one of the tabs it has is aniversaries, plus the tab flashes when an aniversary occurs (until you view the tab, marking it as "read"). If you use the calendar a lot, consider getting a replacement, the in-built one is pretty basic. Pocket Breeze gives you a rundown of upcoming tasks and appointments for the next X days, and you can filter them into different lists (I use work & personal lists). There's a few similar tools, try some and see which you like.
