Guest Chimpanzee Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 My brother gave me this link yesterday: http://www.google.com/glm It's essentially Google Earth/Google Local for mobiles but i don't know which version to download as it doesn't list PDAs or Windows Mobile. Does anyone have any idea which would be the best version to use on the M2000?
Guest Pondrew Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Haven't been able to identify any of the models listed as Pocket PCs so not looking good. Certainly the incarnations of the Blue Angel that you'd expect to be there (Audiovox 6600/Siemens SX66) aren't so... Aside from which, the following extract from their FAQ doesn't bode well for it working here in the UK: Does Google Local for mobile work everywhere? Not yet. Local for mobile is currently available in the US only. We're working to increase its availability as soon as possible.
Guest Chimpanzee Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Ahh, didn't see that bit. t'would be quite handy to have when it does get a UK version release! I'll keep my eye on it.
Guest dma Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 I used 'Generic' Advanced MIDP2 and it looks to work, as you said no uk data but good to play with.
