I have an issue with my cingular 2125 every now and then. I am hoping it is just a software issue because I don't want to send my phone into warranty department. Every now and then when I voice dial out of my bluetooth headset (motorola hs850) it actually dials out of the phone unit itself. I will get a beep letting me know that I am connected, but then I have to grab the actual phone and talk to them through that. Just wondered if anyone else had heard of this issue, I don't think that I have seen another post about it.

Another issue is that every now and then it will give me a message saying its an unused voice tag (this is because I have had to put a voice tag in for some people's numbers more than once after I synced with outlook) and won't dial out. I can't find anywhere how to delete voice tags for the life of me. Any help is GREATLY appreciated, thanks guys

Yes, dammit. My phone does that too!!

Oddly enough I have a motorola HS 820.

Another trick is that it wont respond at all, or disconnects randomly.

could it be the moto headsets? ???

I have the smae problem when using voice tags from my bluetooth headset and my 2125. I have had the phone and the H500 set for about 1 week, and probably 25% of the time after i speak the name it dials from the handset and i have to turn the headset off and on to get it to pick up again.

I really don't wanna jinx myself, but maybe it has to do with how charged the headset is? I notice that it gets worse towards the end of the week when I need to charge that guy up again

I have exactly the same problem with QTEK 8310 and Motorola H500 headset: the bluetooth connection breaks up just before the call gets connected. The problem seems to appear only with Motorola headsets, still it could be a glitch in the WM5.

I just sent a feedback to Motorola's support, hope they have some experience on what's causing it.

Here's the homegrown fix--believe it or not. The voice tags are too long. I was having the same problem and finally noticed that when I had a short voice tag entered, the problem all but disappeared. When I had a longer voice tag, the bluetooth was cut out almost every time. Eg., my church voice tag used to be "Wilson Boulevard", and I had problems with it all the time. When I changed the tag to "Church", voila--problem disappeared.

You might have to delete the old "long" tags since the software is able to recognize multiple voice commands for the same number (start>speed dial, highlight the number then menu>delete).

I hope it works for you--had me pulling my hair out--what's left of it anyway.

Be well
