c 500 mpeg 4 video How To..

Hi all, i have new c500 and had downloaded a couple of music vids and and copied them to phone with activesync. When i try to open them it asks to choose a programme to open the file, i first chose Win Media but just went to media screen and there was no sign of the file. I then tried to open using pv player but got error message saing "PV Player encountered a problem Bla Bla Bla,

Does NE1 know if i am doing things all wrong or is there another way

Any help is massively appreciated

p.s, the file i downloaded is in Mpeg4 formatt, which i understand is the correct formatt.......Please Help

it could be codecs, file widths and heights. for the best video playing your better off using tcpmp (look on google) it rocks and it plays almost every file type

You have the same problem I had. If your trying to play divx movies on the C500 you cannot, unless you use the right software .PV player wont do it. I ripped my own DVD's for my original SPV and played them with betaplayer , no problem . I copied these files to my new C500 and they wont play . They do now as I installed tcpmp [ theres about 4 extra codecs for this to ,aac,ac3,ffmpeg& vorbislq] and everything is OK.I think I used a program called DVDencrypter to encode the original files to divx for SPV use.
