Guest kam_ Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 (edited) ActiveSync - Enabled Wi-Fi while charging phone 1. Connect the phone to the PC. ActiveSync will immediately synchronize and Wi-Fi will be disabled on the phone. 2. Using ActiveSync on the PC, click File -> Connection Settings to open the Connection Settings screen. 3. Clear the check box for Allow USB Connections and click OK. 4. Wi-Fi will automatically be re-enabled on the phone. You will need to go through this procedure each time you connect the phone to the PC. Edited February 9, 2006 by kam_

By cable, or Bluetooth? If so, why bother with wi-fi at all, if you have already started by connecting one of the accepted ways. Kam, you know me - I'm slow. So bear with me here mate - what do you mean - cos it sounds like you have hit on something pretty cool, we just can't follow your instructions (well us slow people can't *lol*) SCRATCH ALL THAT - I've just worked it all out - what you are saying, is how to have wi-fi enabled on your phone, WHILE you are connected via a cable so you can charge it. Problem is, that's NOT what your post title implies - it gave everyone (well ok, ME) the impression that you had found a way to do an Active Sync via wi-fi. Shoot me.
Guest kam_ Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 hehe good point! - i changed the title. This may seem pointless to some people since you can use activesync for the internet connection, but i've found that only TCP works in passthrough. If you want to use UDP you have to use the WiFi connection instead.
