Google Earth Satallite Images on Sp5m - error?

I have chose the download version of:

Generic > Advanced

I use the sp5m, with wifi/gprs

When i try to display Satalite images, an error message comes up saying my device does not support .jpg

Wouldnt the sp5m have enough processing power to support jpg?

Its nothing to do with that - I read somewhere it is about the underlying ability for java to access .jpg images by default as opposed to .png

Like it says on the can, this is NOT a version designed for the SmartPhone, so hardly any suprises when certain features dont work, is it.

A proper version for SmartPhone is needed, where the code is written to allow java access to jpg files within the phone, amongst other things that need covered.
